This is our most popular option! A family member flies to Maui to pick up the puppy. You purchase a standard flight ticket and an airline-approved pet carrier (we're happy to help you find one). After booking, notify the airline that you'll be traveling with a puppy. Pet fees typically range from $35–$150 depending on the airline. Your puppy will fly in-cabin, under the seat in front of you, and usually sleeps peacefully for the entire flight. We’ll meet you at OGG (Kahului Airport) and send you off with a collapsible bowl, potty pads, a chew toy, a small blanket, another toy, and food.
You Drive Here
Driving is a simple and cozy option if you’re located in Hawaii or during inter-island travel. Many families have driven with great success. Puppies usually sleep during the ride on someone’s lap. You should plan to stop every two hours at safe potty spots where no other dogs are present. If you're staying overnight at a hotel or Airbnb, bring a pet carrier or collapsible playpen. We’ll send you with potty pads, a chew toy, a small blanket, and a toy.
Do We Ship Cargo?
We do not ship puppies cargo. This method involves placing the puppy in a crate in the plane's baggage hold, which is not temperature-controlled. There are too many risks involved, and we prioritize the puppy’s safety above all.
Flying to Mexico
Most airlines require puppies to be 16 weeks old for international travel. However, Aeromexico allows 8-week-old puppies. We provide a vet-signed certificate of good health and vaccination record. A formal health certificate is not required. It’s easiest to fly from Mexico to pick up the puppy here.
Flying to Canada
Flying to Europe
Europe has more strict requirements. Puppies must:
We provide a vet health certificate and vaccination record. Our vet charges ~$250 for international health certificates. Our flight nannies do not fly to Europe, so you must fly here to pick up your puppy.
